Nominations for Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) positions are now open!!
Nominations for the following positions within our region are now open:RMR Regional Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director. VP, Secretary and Treasurer positions are two (2) year terms. Director position is a four (4) year term. The election for these positions will be held January 11, 2012 so that the new officers may be ratified at the AM/CC in Sun Valley. Requirements for Office - Per RMR Policies and Procedures, all candidates for a regional office must be a member in good standing of a club in good standing. Nominations - A person nominated must submit a written letter of acceptance expressing a willingness and intent to serve as a regional officer. Nomination Form, Letter of Acceptance, and Candidate Statement must be emailed to keena.harris@gmail.com by December 31, 2011. A copy of the Nomination Form, Letter of Acceptance and Candidate Statement will be forwarded to all eligible voting club Presidents, Executive Board Members, and candidates by January 5, 2012. Sun Valley Ski Academy Announces Merit Scholarships

SUN VALLEY, Idaho –The Sun Valley Ski Academy (SVSA) is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for alpine, cross country , freestyle skiers and snowboarders for the 2012-2013 academic year. Scholarships are available for high school student-athletes. Awards vary in size, but may be as high as a full-tuition scholarship. Athletic achievement, academic effort and success, and commitment to community will all be used to determine scholarship recipients. Read more . . .

TSC Youth Foundation Fundraising Contest

Ski Jammers Ski Club is a member of the Texas Ski Council (TSC), which consists of all the ski clubs in Texas. Ski Jammers youth members generally participate in the annual TSC Thanksgiving ski trip. Club members can raise money for the Foundation by holding a sporting event, social event, an auction, buy or make some items and resell them for a profit, or have an event at a restaurant other business that donates a portion of a nights proceeds to a 501 (c) (3) charity if the customer brings in a flier. California Pizza Kitchen is an example of a restaurant that does that.
